Getting seated made easy  

To make transferring to and from a wheelchair easier, the Turnout enables you to rotate the car's seat so the front extends slightly over the sill. This makes the transfer shorter in distance and less complicated to perform.  

The Turnout is available both as a hand-operated and powered swivel base.

Get seated outside
With the seat protruding from the car's door opening, it's much easier to make the transfer to and from a wheelchair. When the Turnout has reached its outermost position, the seat locks firmly into place, giving you a stable point to hold onto while transferring.

Not just for wheelchair users

Getting seated in a car can be tricky even if you don't have a diagnosed disability. Having part of the seat on the outside means you can back up against the edge of the seat and drop straight down. Now, just scooch back against the backrest and use the Turnout's rotation to get all of you into the car. Getting out is just as easy. Rotate out and stand up in a forward motion like you would from a chair. You can even use the door as a brace for extra leverage.

Compared to lowered floor solutions, a swivel base lets you choose from many more car brands and models. Yet, no matter how good a car fits with the Turnout the combination has to work for you. The Turnout is a swivel base for low built cars like Hatchbacks, Coupés, Sedans, Station Wagons and MPVs.
For high built cars use a seat lift like the Turny Evo.

Manual operation

For the hand-operated version of Turnout, you simply lift the lever on the side. This enables the seat to rotate freely either in or out. Let go of the lever and the seat will lock into place once it has reached the end position.

Powered operation

The powered version of the Turnout is operated via a 2-button hand-control. Press "IN" to rotate the seat into the vehicle and press "OUT" to rotate the seats front towards the door opening.

This is the solution that puts you in the front seat. Where you get to look and feel like everyone else. It's the solution that lets you experience the passing scenery through the windshield. That lets you tune in your favourite song on the radio. That lets you have a conversation with the person next to you, be it driver or passenger.

Need more assistance?
Our Turny Low Vehicle is a powered swivel base that offers similar functionality as the Turnout. It's fully automatic and operated via a wired remote or your mobile phone.

No permanent modification
As with all our Getting Seated products, the installation is completely reversible. In most cases, it requires no permanent modification to the vehicle. In other words, it will not affect the resale value of your car. You can even bring it along to your next car.

Transferring without lifting
If you combine the Turnout with the Carony Classic, you have a solution that totally eliminates the lifting when moving from wheelchair to car seat. As a user, you simply stay seated while the entire seat slides from the wheelchair into the car. It's as safe and comfortable as a standard car seat and it's as versatile and easy to use as a transport wheelchair.
