The Turny Evo is a seat lift that moves the car seat completely outside the vehicle and lowers it down to your desired level. This makes it easier for you to sit down or transfer from a wheelchair. Once you're seated, push a button and the Turny Evo will lift you inside the car. It's a simple yet very effective way to make your car more accessible.

Getting seated in today's aerodynamically built cars can be very cumbersome. However the Turny Evo isn't just a solution for wheelchair users, it's for anyone that needs a little help getting in and out of their car.

The Turny Evo is the most advanced seat lift on the market today. It has unique features that make it possible to use in car models where other seat lifts won’t work.

Easy transfer to and from your wheelchair

When transferring to and from the Turny Evo, you can do so completely outside the vehicle. Even better, the Turny Evo can lower the seat to your level. This means that it doesn't matter if you're transferring from wheelchair to seat or seat to wheelchair, you can always transfer to a lower point.

Not just for wheelchair users

Getting seated in a car can be tricky even if you don't have a diagnosed disability. Having the seat on the outside means you can back up against the edge of the seat and drop down. Now, let the Turny Evo lift you into the car. Getting out is just as easy. Rotate out and stand up in a forward motion like you would from a chair. In fact, you can even use the height adjustment to give you a little extra boost.

Choose the car you want

Compared to lowered floor solutions and most other wheelchair accessible vehicles, a seat lift lets you choose from many more car brands and models. Yet, no matter how good a car fits with the Turny Evo, the combination has to work for you. To find out what combination will suit both your needs and taste, contact your dealer for a free assessment.

Turny Evo is made for high built cars like SUVs, CUVs, minivans, vans and MPVs.
For low built cars use a swivel base like the Turny Low Vehicle.

Passenger or driver?

The Turny Evo works on the passenger's side and in many cases even on the driver's side. In certain larger vehicles, it can also be installed in the second row of seats.

No permanent modification

As with all our swivel bases and seat lifts, the installation is completely reversible. In other words it will not affect the resale value of your car. You can even bring it along to your next car.

Be a part of the ride

This is the solution that puts you in the front seat. Where you get to look and feel like everyone else. It's the solution that lets you experience the passing scenery through the windshield. That lets you tune in your favourite song on the radio. That lets you have a conversation with the person next to you, be it driver or passenger.

Easy to use hand control

Are you going in or out? Maybe you're just adjusting your seat? The intuitive 4-button hand-held control uses coloured lights that tell you what buttons are available to use at a given time.

Smartphone compatible

You can also control the Turny Evo with your smartphone via the Remote app. This requires that your Turny Evo is fitted with the BraunAbility Remote receiver kit.

For children and adults

Lifting a child in and out of the car is heavy work and twisting motion guaranteed to take its toll on your back. As your child grows the risk of injury increases rapidly. By using the Turny Evo you can perform ergonomic lifts and save your back.

There's also a great social benefit of having your child close to you in the front seat. You see everything that's going on, you can talk to each other and you can enjoy the ride together. This is not quite as easy with a child riding seated in their wheelchair in the back of the van.

Having the car seat on the outside isn't just beneficial for adults. For children that want to transfer, it can be the difference between possible and impossible. If and when your child is ready to start making their own transfer to and from the car seat, the Turny Evo can be used to help build technique and muscles.

It all started with a joint project together with Volvo in the mid 90's. Today we have numerous collaborations with some of the largest car manufacturers in the world. In Germany Mercedes-Benz offers the Turny Evo as a factory installed option. From Volkswagen we have a so called Lono, a document declaring that we are proven to meet their high standards.

We are also involved in several localised partnerships with for instance Ford, Fiat and Toyota to name a few.

Choose your seat

The Turny Evo is compatible with the BEV Seat, the BIS Seat, the Compact Seat, the Recaro Seat as well as our children's seats the BEV Kids and the highly adaptive GS Seat. To ensure you enjoy the same safety as anyone else inside the car all of these seats have been successfully crash-tested.

Built-in footrest

When rotating in or out you can place your feet on the built-in footrest of the Turny Evo. Alternatively you can just let your feet drag along the ground until it's time to lift them over the sill.

Fully adjustable comfort

Using the Turny Evo allows you to adjust your seat just as you would with the standard car seat. You can adjust the lengthwise position of the seat and recline the backrest to your liking.

Transferring without lifting

If you combine the Turny Evo with the Carony, you have a solution that totally eliminates the lifting when moving from wheelchair to car seat. As a user you simply stay seated while the entire seat slides from wheelchair into the car. It's as safe and comfortable as a standard car seat and it's as versatile and easy to use as a transport wheelchair.

Since it relies on power from the car itself, there's a manual backup system, in the event of a complete power failure in your car.
