Quality Manager Europe (Stenkullen, Sweden)

As Quality Manager for BraunAbility Europe, you will have the main responsibility for the quality functions and lead the quality work. You will also work closely with the three European sites and support the R&D and Operations teams. The objective of the role is to develop a structured Quality Improvement Strategy across the European sites, including managing Quality KPI’s and strategic development of best practice initiatives.

You will be responsible for reporting the key operational activities and ensuring that good financial and business data for all quality related and operational activities is available and used to measure performance.

This is a new and important position for our further growth. You will report directly to the VP Operations Europe.


  • Responsible for coordinating Quality Management within Europe. This includes staff responsibility for the Quality functions in Europe.
  • Act as Quality Manager in Sweden & Denmark. 
  • Represent Quality in New Product Development activities and coordinate New Product Development projects to ensure “quality by design” as part of the Product Development gateway process. 
  • Coordinate Product Launch activities to achieve “flawless launch”-quality KPIs.
  • Manage high-priority Quality issues and coordinates Task-Force activities on Europe level for ongoing projects and operations.
  • Establish and generate effective Quality reporting in Europe.
  • Drive the development of standards and implementation of professional IT tools.
  • Provide effective communication regarding issues, objectives, initiatives, and performance to plan.
  • Train and coach the teams using thorough knowledge of Quality principles and applications and demonstrate performance improvement in the Quality area.
  • Coach and support the teams regarding ISO 9000:2015 certification.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


About you

Furthermore, you bring with you:  

  • A relevant university degree or equivalent.
  • At least 10 years work experience within Quality management with a proven track record of leading an organization in improving their Quality management. Preferable in a matrix organization.
  • Proven experience of leading a Quality organization in a manufacturing/engineering organization - preferably within automotive or another fast-paced industry.
  • Strong engineering background with experience of product engineering and development gateway processes for mechatronic products/systems.
  • Experience in both high and low volume engineering product launches and production start-ups.
  • Experience in dealing with supplier and operational quality issues in a high-volume engineering environment.
  • Experience in managing complex programs / projects and taskforce teams.
  • Experience in leading and driving sites to achieve ISO 9000-certification. Experience of ISO 14000 is a plus.
  • Very strong analytical and project management skills.
  • A clear passion to drive business improvements, whilst still delivering day-to-day operations objectives. Used to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Fluent in Swedish and English both in oral and written communication.

About the employment 
Full-time, permanent employment. We follow the Collective Agreement Teknikavtalet. The position is based in Stenkullen but the position requires travelling both within and outside Europe.
