Engineering Manager (Sweden)

About the position/role

We are now looking for someone who wants to run and develop the Engineering business area, which includes building teams and developing our ways of working. Engineering today includes the R&D, Application & Adaptation departments, which consist of approx. 15 people.


Areas of responsibility:

  • Coach, support and develop the teams at individual and group level.
  • Active involvement in product development and other technical areas.
  • Provide technical support.
  • Initiate technology development activities and run projects within this.
  • Work with and initiate continuous improvement.
  • Ensure that the teams have the tools, processes and working methods required to succeed against the goals.
  • Communicate the business plan and goals clearly to the teams and deliver on set goals.
  • Ensure good cooperation between different departments and across borders within Europe (England, Denmark & Sweden).


About you
We are looking for someone who has a burning interest in technology, preferably in the automotive industry, and has a drive to develop and improve. You have a relevant education, longer work experience in technology/R&D and distinct leadership.

We see that through this you have a broad technical knowledge and understanding, preferably in electricity and mechatronics, as well as longer experience in project management. You should have a good understanding of ISO 9001 & 14001. It is advantageous if you have worked with LEAN, change management and business development, preferably in an international environment.

As a leader and person, you like to guide, inspire and develop. You have the ability to translate product and business goals into technical solutions and coach your team in this. You are a problem-solver, have a strategic mindset and are results-oriented in your work. You have an aptitude for creating relationships and are communicative to get the team on board and collaborate with others in the business.

We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.


Form of employment
Permanent contract. The position falls under the white collar union collective agreement (Teknikavtalet) and is at 100%.
